Since publishing Health Cheque we have been overwhelmed by the response, particularly patients and from hard working doctors and nurses in our public health sector. They all want to see our health system working more efficiently, effectively, and fairly and are frustrated with everything that gets in the way. We obviously touched a nerve. Given the response, we couldn’t just let this issue drop. So we are working on Dr Morgan’s Policy Prescription – some ideas that can make our health system better. We are talking to health sector experts and doctors and administrators at DHB forums about our ideas and shaping them up into some firm proposals for the Government. This newsletter will keep you updated with our progress, provide access to the ideas as they firm up and give you the opportunity to have your say.
